Terms of Service
This document is provided in English. Last updated: July 2026.
1. Scope and provider
These terms govern the use of the ApplyEuro platform (the “Service”), operated by Tekbyte UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Barbarossastraße 42, 63128 Dietzenbach, Germany (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept these terms.
2. Description of the Service
ApplyEuro provides information, eligibility evaluation, and guidance for students who wish to apply to universities in Europe. This includes profile evaluation, university and programme matching, document checklists, application timelines, and — on the Premium plan — personal advisory support.
The Service is an informational and advisory tool. It does not constitute legal advice, immigration or visa advice, or tax advice. We are not an agent of any university or government authority, and we do not guarantee admission to any university, the grant of any visa, or any scholarship. Admission and visa decisions are made exclusively by universities and the competent authorities.
3. Free and Premium plans
- Free plan: basic eligibility check and general information at no cost.
- Premium plan: one-time payment of $199 for a period of 6 months. After expiry, you may renew for $99 per further 6-month period. There is no automatic renewal — your plan simply expires unless you renew it.
- Payment: payment is made by bank transfer. After you submit your transfer receipt in the app, we verify it manually and activate Premium, normally within 1–2 business days. Premium features become available upon activation, not upon transfer.
Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected. Where you expressly request that advisory services begin before the end of the withdrawal period, you may owe a proportionate amount for services already provided.
4. Your obligations
- Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information in your profile and applications.
- Upload only genuine, unaltered documents (transcripts, certificates, passport). Submitting forged or manipulated documents leads to immediate termination of your account and may be reported where legally required.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and do not share your account.
- Use the Service only for your own study applications and not for any unlawful purpose. One account belongs to one applicant: the name, date of birth, and passport number on a paid account are fixed once payment is approved, and the same identity may not hold a second paid account.
5. The programme database: rights, permitted use, and licensing
The programme catalogue — the collection of universities, programmes, entry requirements, fees, funding figures, deadlines, and the country data behind them — is a database within the meaning of Directive 96/9/EC and §§ 87a et seq. of the German Copyright Act (UrhG). We are its maker. Obtaining, verifying, and maintaining its contents required, and continues to require, a substantial investment.
Individual facts are not ours: a university publishes its own tuition fee, and we claim no ownership of that fact. What is protected is the compilation — the selection, the verification, the structure, and the effort of keeping it current.
Permitted. With a free or Premium account you may browse and search the catalogue and use what you find for your own study applications, including printing or saving individual records for your personal use.
Not permitted without our prior written licence.
- Extracting or re-utilising a substantial part of the database, whether evaluated qualitatively or quantitatively, and repeated or systematic extraction of insubstantial parts.
- Automated access of any kind: crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers, scripted requests, bulk export, or systematic downloading, whether or not it uses a registered account.
- Using the catalogue, or information derived from it, to operate or support a consultancy, agency, coaching centre, or any other service offered to third parties.
- Reselling, republishing, sublicensing, or incorporating the data into another product, dataset, or model training corpus.
- Sharing one account between multiple applicants, or registering accounts on behalf of other people in order to obtain access.
Licensing. Consultancies, agencies, schools, and other organisations that wish to use the catalogue in their own work are welcome to do so under a paid licence. This is a normal commercial arrangement and we would rather grant it than pursue a breach — see our partner and licensing page, or write to partners@applyeuro.de.
Enforcement. We rate-limit and monitor access to the catalogue. Where use exceeds what these terms permit we may throttle or suspend the account without notice, and we reserve our statutory remedies, including injunctive relief and damages under § 87b UrhG. Nothing in this section restricts your rights under mandatory law, including the right of a lawful user to access and use insubstantial parts of the database.
6. Our obligations and availability
We provide the Service with reasonable skill and care and aim for high availability, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance and may modify features, provided the core paid features remain available during your Premium period.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. In particular, we are not liable for admission or visa decisions of universities or authorities, or for deadlines missed due to information you provided late or incorrectly.
8. Term, termination, and data deletion
You may delete your account at any time via the in-app Settings page; this terminates the contract. Upon deletion, your personal data is erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR, subject to statutory retention obligations (e.g. payment records). Fees already paid for the current Premium period are not refunded upon voluntary account deletion, except where required by law. We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, in particular under section 4.
9. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms with effect for the future where there is a valid reason (e.g. changes in law or in the Service). We will notify you of material changes by email or in the app at least 4 weeks before they take effect. If you do not object within this period, continued use constitutes acceptance; we will point this out in the notification.
10. Governing law and final provisions
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
